Here is a DJ Photography portrait with another New Yorka with overbearing swag.

This time I went a little more stylized with the photography. The indoors photo we went studio style using deep light. The outdoor photography was more NY style grittiness and editorial styling.

DJ’s arn’t models but they do have nonchalance. So shooting them in a natural or idealistic light comes out fantastic.

The outdoor cinematic style shots always come out best.

Why?

Cause it was a natural. Including movement in the session really enhanced the re-actions on camera.

Hit this up with the 7D and two 580EX II’s using bounced light and straight forward unsheltered light to illuminate.

By maneuvering the TTL’s out doors in the parking lot really enhanced the dramatic feel with only lighting around Sean.

I love the feeling of isolation with light among the darkness.
