hells belles at wasted space

Wasted Space is a very unique venue with a feel that is best described as bad ass. Every time I shoot the venue i have the urge to join a mosh pit when i realize i have expensive gear in my hands and shoot the cute hardcore hotties covered in tattoos instead.

One night I ran into Hells Belles a all female cover band who has the most entertaining guitarist full with high jumps, running on the floor and deranged faces. See… I’m not lying.

Using the 28mm prime gives really shallow depth of field which helps me in creating a lot of different effects and here I use it to portray depth of movement and fascination through a daze.

In all the shots i used the 40D with the 28mm prime, and for the performance pics no flash, and otherwise the remote 580 EXII.
