This trail is a very rewarding one. The end point is just so peaceful to relax and enjoy the cool breeze while leilani chases squirrels.

This second time Nick the wilderness guide another las vegas photographer lead the hike to see the damage from the fire to the wilderness. It tore a strip in the landscape upwards onto the other side of the trail.

What a shame!

Another shame … not nearly as devastating …

Is the destruction of my focus on the 14mm and the GND filter. oh nnooooooooooooooo

landscape photography

Taken with 7D with the newly broken 14mm and the 100mm.

Even though the 14mm auto focus doesn’t shift it still semi focus’ manual.

It’s challenging to photograph with but it forces one to make decisions of what can do without focus, and what’s the limit of distortion to accept.

In any case another fun photography adventure.
